The Winter Festival was interesting, to say the least. I'm not sure who thought of the doctor & nurse café, but it went well.

I went to go see "The Martian" yesterday after a suggestion from my mother. While I prefer finishing the book before going to see the movie adaptation, there just isn't a lot of time to devote to leisure reading lately. I did enjoy the film though. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I do recommend it if you're looking for a more dramatic type of science fiction/action movie.

Oh I've seen the trailer of that. Been meaning to watch it but haven't had the chance. I've heard some pretty good things about it though, and seems like you liked it as well.

If you enjoy more realistic science-fiction, I would recommend it.

I haven't tried much science fiction. I usually read horror and mystery. I'll give it a shot the next time I go to the library or a bookstore.

If you haven't read them, Agatha Christie's novels are good.

Murder on the Orient Express is a classic.

I read a variety of things, but mostly generic fiction and mysteries.

Have you tried any of Lovecraft's works?

No, I can't say that I have. I'm not much of a horror fan.

What about Stephen King? His works are a mix with mystery.

I have read a few of his books, namely in the Dark Tower series, but none of the horror ones.

That was a great read. Do you have any favorite authors?

Murakami Haruki immediately comes to mind, but I'm also fond of Sir Doyle and Nakagami Kenji.

I think my brother had a book by Murakami Haruki, but I haven't read his or Nakagami Kenji's works. My brother was a more avid reader.
